Bulk Edit Etsy Listings: Copy, Images, and Videos

You need one tag on 80 listings. Etsy's native bulk editor can apply it to the selected listings together.

Bulk edit means one change, many listings: titles, tags, descriptions, images, videos, prices.

What Etsy can do on its own

Shop Manager → Listings → select your listings → Editing options. Etsy's help guide lists these supported bulk edits:

For these shared field changes, you can start in Etsy itself. Images and videos are not among the bulk-edit fields listed in that guide.

Etsy allows one video per listing. Same clip on a hundred listings if it is actually useful (print process, brand, demo). Delete before you replace.

Review titles for clarity rather than padding them to 130–140 characters. Etsy's current title guidance recommends naming the item and its important traits, avoiding repetition, and considering fewer than 15 words. Put additional relevant search terms in tags, attributes, and descriptions.

Limits

Run them in sequence on a large shop. Etsy slows API calls. Retry logic is the difference between a finished job and a half-updated shop.

Tag add, start to finish

1. Dashboard → Etsy Listings.
2. Select listings, or Select All.
3. Bulk Actions → Add Tag → Apply.
4. Wait for the bar. Refresh. Confirm they are live.

Mistakes that hurt

• Replace with no backup of a few titles. There is no undo.
• Replace when you meant append.
• Editing winners. If it sells, leave it. Bulk-edit the dead and the almost.

FAQ

Can Etsy bulk-edit tags on its own? Yes. Select the listings in Shop Manager, open Editing options, and choose the tag action. Etsy also supports native bulk edits for titles and descriptions.

Will bulk-editing reset rank? Changing titles, tags, or descriptions can change which searches a listing matches. It does not guarantee a ranking boost or a reset. Back up the original text and review the results before changing more listings.
