Connect Printify to Etsy: Setup and Next Steps

The connection takes five minutes. The listing Printify sends to Etsy is not a listing. It is a draft with a catalog name, a generic description, and zero tags.

Accounts

Printify — printify.com. Free plan is enough. You pay per order.

Etsy seller — etsy.com/sell. Shop name, payment, policies. You cannot connect until the shop exists.

Connect

Printify → My Stores → Add a new store → Etsy.
Connect. Etsy asks you to allow access. Click Allow Access.
You land back on Printify. Done.

Do not disconnect and reconnect for fun. You can lose sync on existing products. Only reconnect on a login error, then check products are still linked.

First product

Create product. Pick a blueprint (Gildan 5000, etc.).
Pick a printer. Compare price, production time, shipping. US: Printify Express is usually fastest.
Upload the design. Place it. Price every size × color.
Publish to Etsy. It lands as a draft.

Then rewrite the draft before it goes live.

Title — Replace a generic title such as "Unisex Heavy Cotton Tee" with a clear product name and its important traits. Keep it readable; do not pad it to the character limit. Etsy suggests considering fewer than 15 words. How Etsy SEO works.

Tags — All 13. Printify adds none.

Description — What it is, sizes/materials, how to order, production and shipping, care.

Images — Printify gives you one or two mockups. You need 5+: first photo, lifestyle, size chart, detail. Video if you have it.

Section — Assign it.

Shipping profile — Match Printify's real costs and times. Undercharging eats margin. Overpromising eats reviews.

Policies before you take orders

Shop Manager → Settings → Policies.

Returns: most print-on-demand shops do "no returns unless defective." Made to order.
Processing time: 2–5 business days is typical. Use what your printer actually hits.
Custom orders: yes or no. Say it.

Star Seller later needs ≥95% reply rate, ≥95% on-time, 4-star average. On-time is your printer pick. Check their stats in the catalogue before you commit.

After the first listing
